Encrypted backup. Your database, snapshotted and encrypted on your machine before upload. We store blobs we can't read — if you lose your laptop, you haven't lost your track record.
MCP access. Connect Claude Code — or any MCP client — to your portfolio. Ask questions, run the evaluation council, pull bet-sizing math, all on the Claude access you already pay for.

Requires Radar Desktop. When it ships: cancel anytime — the app keeps working; you just stop syncing backups and the MCP connection closes.

Two ways to power the council.

The AI evaluation council (bull / bear / calibrator / CFO) ships in Radar Desktop. Power it either way: paste your own API key — included in the $199, no unlock — or connect Claude Code through Radar Cloud's MCP server and run it on the Claude subscription you already have.

Either way, the model bill is yours and the data stays yours — Radar never resells inference.

Common questions

Is my data private?: Yes, by default. Radar Desktop is a local application — your portfolio data, evaluations, and thesis config stay on your machine. Radar Cloud backups are encrypted on your machine before upload; we store blobs we can't read.
What does "one-time license" mean?: You pay $199 once and Radar Desktop is yours — every update included, for as long as the product exists. No renewal to keep what you bought, no year-gated versions, no subscription on the app itself. The only recurring charge in the whole product is Radar Cloud, and that's optional and priced against a real ongoing service.
Do I need Radar Cloud?: No. Desktop is fully functional without it — including the AI council on your own API key. Radar Cloud ships after Desktop; the waitlist hears first. Add Cloud if you want off-machine encrypted backups of your track record, or if you'd rather drive Radar from Claude Code over MCP instead of pasting an API key. If you cancel, the app keeps working; backups just stop syncing.
How does this relate to the open-source CLI?: The same engine. Radar OSS is the CLI and analytics sidecar — free, MIT-licensed, github.com/ckoglmeier/radar. Radar Desktop is the full visual product running over the same local data. If you already run the CLI, Desktop is the UI layer on top of what you built. The CLI is free forever.
