Privacy in Radar
Updated October 4, 2026. Radar is built and operated by Chandler Koglmeier. Questions or deletion requests: chandler.koglmeier@gmail.com.
Your workspace
Your portfolio, documents, analyses, credentials, and backups are stored on your Mac. Radar does not host a copy of your workspace. Keep your encrypted backup and Recovery Kit somewhere safe.
AI and connected apps
Starting analysis sends the relevant documents, context, and responses to your selected AI or research provider under its terms. Chrome’s Send & analyze action starts this work too. Text recognition runs locally on your Mac.
When you enable a connector, the AI app can request the workspace information you permit, such as search results and memo excerpts. That information may go to the host’s provider. You can turn off these permissions in Settings. Proposed changes require review in Radar.
Optional account and email
You do not need an account to use Radar locally. If you register, the hosted service stores your email, random account and device identifiers, app version, macOS major version, sign-in status and times, and email preferences. Supabase provides account storage and authentication; Resend delivers email; Vercel hosts the service. These services process network metadata such as IP addresses and request times.
Security and requested account messages are sent as needed. Release news and newsletter subscriptions are separate choices, off by default. You can unsubscribe, remove a device, or delete your account in Settings → Account. Account deletion does not delete your local workspace.
Analytics and support
App product analytics is off by default and requires your consent plus a configured receiver. If enabled, it sends a random installation identifier, version information, and limited workflow outcomes—not company names, amounts, documents, prompts, model output, or API keys. Turning it off stops collection and clears the local queue. The public 1.0 download does not include an analytics receiver configuration.
The website uses Vercel Web Analytics and records aggregate download-button and engine-link clicks. These are not counts of installations or unique users. Shared-link query strings and fragments are removed before page-view reporting. Hosting services also process ordinary network metadata.
Support reports are prepared locally and sent only when you choose to share them. Please do not send API keys, Recovery Kits, or confidential documents. Contact Chandler to request deletion of information you have shared or to ask about hosted retention.
