Radar 1.0
What’s new
Capture directly from Chrome
Bring new deals into Radar without leaving Chrome. Capture supported deal rooms and webpages, including DocSend. Optional notifications tell you when the analysis finishes.
Connect to your favorite harness
Connect Radar to Claude Code, Codex, or other compatible harnesses through local MCP for ingestion, analysis, and reporting. You control their permissions.
Follow up faster with founders
Work through questions from an assessment, add responses inline, or copy them into an email to the founder. Follow-up questions stay collapsed until you need them.
More AI connection options
OpenAI is now available directly, alongside Anthropic and OpenRouter. Radar uses recommended model routing based on the connections you configure.

0.9.6 Beta — earlier release
Keep larger pitch documents in your local workflow.
Radar 0.9.6 raises the local document limit so you can save a full pitch deck on your Mac and ask for a review when you are ready.
Larger documents, saved locally
- The Mac app accepts documents up to 50 MB per file in Add to Radar and Chrome capture. Hosted intake remains limited to 4 MB per file.
- The original stays in your local Radar workspace and its local backups. Saving a document does not start AI work.
- When you request an analysis, Radar extracts readable text from the saved document and sends the relevant content directly to your configured AI provider. Vercel is not in that inference path.
- Text extraction does not interpret charts or image-only slides. Review the source and add context when important information is only visible in images.
Set up Chrome capture
- Open Radar 0.9.6. In the Mac menu bar, choose Help → Set Up Chrome Capture…
- In Chrome, open chrome://extensions and turn on Developer mode.
- Choose Load unpacked. Select the whole extension folder inside the setup folder Radar opened, then click Select. Do not select a file inside it or the parent folder. Gray files are normal in this folder picker.
- Click Chrome’s puzzle-piece Extensions icon. Pin Radar — Capture, then click the Radar logo.
- Expand Connect to Radar. Under Pairing file, select Radar Chrome pairing.json from the setup folder. Wait for “Ready to capture.” Keep this file private; do not email or upload it.
- Open a pitch or company webpage. Click the Radar logo, then Preview current page. Check the company name and captured content, tick the confirmation box, and click Send to Radar. Wait for “Saved to your Radar pipeline,” then open Pipeline in Radar.
Keep Radar open while sending. No API key is needed to save a capture, and saving does not start AI analysis. The full guide is always available inside Radar under Help & updates → Set up Chrome capture.
If setup gets stuck
- No Load unpacked button: turn on Developer mode. If your organization blocks extensions, ask its administrator.
- Cannot connect: open Radar on the same Mac, use Help → Set Up Chrome Capture again, and select that folder’s pairing file. If setup still reports an error after reopening Radar, use Help → Save Support Report.
- Updating the extension: after updating Radar, open its Chrome setup folder again, then click Reload on Radar — Capture in Chrome’s extension settings. If you previously loaded a different folder, remove that extension entry and load the folder Radar now provides. Reconnect if asked; existing pipeline records stay in Radar.
The extension reads the tab you choose, not your browsing history. It captures readable page content, not every hidden section or embedded document. Review what was captured before relying on it.
AngelList deal rooms have a dedicated capture flow. For DocSend, attach a complete PDF you are permitted to download; a visible-page preview is not the full deck. Radar does not bypass access or download restrictions.
Updating
Check your backup, quit Radar, and replace the app in Applications using the download on the Radar homepage. Your workspace stays on your Mac. Radar does not install updates automatically.
